Spend a fun-filled summer day floating
lazily down the Niobrara River as it curves east past several
interesting sights, including Heartland Elk Ranch. Six ecological
systems come together and combine along the river so relax
on your tube and admire the beauty of nature as you drift
by.
Most of the Niobrara
runs calm and fairly shallow, perfect for a relaxing day
on the water, but if your preference is for the adventure
of a swifter, deeper current with rapids, plan to canoe
or kayak east of Sparks and prepare for an exciting ride.
The Niobrara River
has been designated as a National Scenic River and is one
of the top ten vacation destinations in Nebraska. The Niobrara
has also been named one of the nation's top ten canoeing
rivers by several different magazines and organizations.
Heartland Elk Ranch
would like to arrange your river excursion, so come stay
with us. We use the services of Dryland Aquatics in Sparks
for canoe and tube rentals, and would be happy to provide
a complete river experience.
